Forced termination of Toblerone’s distribution
Jacobs Suchard acquires Pavlidis, a Greek chocolate company. This acquisition results in Fotoni ceasing the distribution of Chocolat Tobler products, causing a significant loss of turnover. Despite that, the company is developing new major exclusive partnerships in the coming years.
Fotoni expands its portfolio. Marianna Fotopoulou joins the company.
The company’s portfolio is expanding with notable brands. Milka, Stollwerck and Cote D’Or chocolates, Forno Bonomi puffs, Walkers biscuits, Van Houten cocoa powder are some of the new entries. Nicolas’ daughter, Marianna, joins the company, taking over the Quality Control Management and participating in the company’s organization.
New owned facilities near Athens’ airport
Fotoni invests in the purchase of an 8- acre area in Koropi, near the new Athens airport, where it constructs modern warehouse and office facilities with a total area of 1500 sq.m.
Investment in E.R.P and human resources | ISO 9001 Certification
Fotoni invests in an innovative ERP software and digital infrastructures, which allow a very efficient monitoring of the sales and distribution network. It is staffed with a strong and experienced team and certifies its operation by obtaining the ISO 9001 certificate.
Fotoni’s founder passes away. The company is looking towards the future.
Nicolas Fotopoulos passes away at the age of 90. However, the principles and values he passed on to the company’s successors are still alive. Facing the ongoing challenges, economic crisis and demanding business environment, FOTONI continues to strengthen its presence in the market, looking with dynamism and optimism towards the future.
